Gripping images showing the scope and impact of Venezuela’s political crisis earned AP photojournalist Rodrigo Abd the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for international photography on Thursday.

The Associated Press earned a People’s Voice Webby Award on Tuesday for its minidocumentaries focused on the environment and conservation efforts, titled “What Can Be Saved?” 

During his in-flight press conference heading home from South America last month, Pope Francis said he could not remove a bishop implicated in a sexual abuse scandal in Chile because he had never heard from any victims about the bishop’s behavior.
