Photojournalist Nick Ut, an AP staffer for 50 years, received the 2016 Quinn Award for Lifetime Achievement at the Los Angeles Press Club’s annual dinner on Sunday night.
New head of international news and editor at large for standards are named
Senior Vice President and Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll today announced two key appointments: Ian Phillips is the new Vice President for International News and John Daniszewski becomes the new Editor at Large for Standards.

AP statement on changes in sports agate
Update on May 23, 2016:
During the transition to a new sports data provider, all daily sports agate files were
restored within three days and no statistics from any MLB game or playoff game in the NBA and NHL were interrupted. Most of the interruptions were to files
that aren't as commonly used by AP members and customers. Nearly all weekly
agate files also were restored without interruption.
